Step 8: Printing Cards for the Temple
You can print family ordinance cards at home on normal, white paper, using the following process:
Step 1: You may access the list of all the ordinances you have requested by going to the tool bar at the top of the page and clicking on "Temple." In the dropdown box, click on "Not Printed." This will pull up a list of names that you have received clearance to print, but have not printed yet.

Step 2: Click on the box next to the left of the name(s) you want to print--it allows up to 45 names at a time--so that a blue check mark appears in the box(es). Then click "Print."

Step 3: A window will open us to allow you to choose how you want to print. I'll explain what both of these options mean.

You would choose "Print Family Name Cards" if you want to print these cards at home. If you want the temple to print them for you, select "Print an FOR" (which stands for Family Ordinance Request).
Step 4: With either option you have chosen, the following window pops up, allowing you to specify which ordinances you want to have printed at this time. Just click the blue checkmarks to turn options off or on again.

Step 5: Click on "Continue."
Step 6: You may read the instructions on the next window and click "Continue."

Step 7: A new tab will open and you can follow your normal printer steps, according to your individual printer. I can just use Command-P or Control-P at this point to print this page. When you go back to the familysearch tab, you will find a window that looks like this:

You may choose "Yes" or "No." This window is important if you had printer issues and the cards didn't print. If you record your 16-digit FOR number, the temple can print the card for you.
Step 8: Now we'll back up to the option you chose above on step 3--if you chose "Print an FOR," the same window will open, asking you to click on the ordinances you want to print--and you click continue, just like in the earlier instructions.
Step 9: You may get a window informing you that familysearch is using adobe to print. Just click "Continue."

Step 10: A new tab will open with a Family Ordinance Request form. You may print this, screenshot it, save it to your computer, or simply write down the 16-digit FOR number. Take any of these records to the temple. You may show them your phone and they will print out your name(s) for you.
Step 11: Final note: You may also print cards from each individual's main page by clicking on "Ordinances." Click "Print" at the top of the page that opens and follow the same instructions as above.
